BILLY WOODHAM

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Billy Joe Woodham, age 79, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Iron City Baptist Church in Iron City, GA with Rev. Johnny Taylor officating and eulogy given by Buddy Roberts. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Woodham was born in Donalsonville, GA on November 9, 1932 to the late John Wesley Woodham and Lilly Sanders Woodham. He attended Iron City Baptist Church and worked as a farmer. He also served as a Seminole County Commissioner from January 1975 to December 1980. Mr. Woodham leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jo Woodham of Donalsonville, GA; son, Tyler Smith of Donalsonville, GA; daughters, Kay Hayes and her husband Larry of Dothan, AL, Wendy Williams of Donalsonville, GA and Bailey Troyer of Donalsonville, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lee Owens and Lance Owens; and his great grandchildren, Jessie Owens, Lilly Kate Owens, and Holden Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Woodham and Lilly Sanders Woodham; his daughter, Rhonda Williams Smith; three brothers, Rufus Woodham, Henry Woodham, Herbert Woodham; two sisters, Lois Cross and Florence Jackson. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
