EARL REXFORD WHITAKER

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Earl Rex Whitaker, age 70, of Jakin, GA, who passed away Monday, August 27, 2012. Graveside services will be held this afternoon, Monday, August 27, 2012 at 3:30 PM at Jakin Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Whitaker was born in Donalsonville, GA on January 25, 1942 to Mary Whitaker and the late Sidney Whitaker. He was an automobile painter and was known in 1970s and early 1980 as one of the top automobile and heavy equipment painters in Florida. He enjoyed fishing in his younger days. Mr. Whitaker leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mary Whitaker of Jakin; one son, Brian Whitaker of Ocala, FL; daughter, Vikki Wolfe and her husband Lee of Fort McCoy, FL; four brothers, Randall Whitaker of Live Oak, FL; Ronald Whitaker of Dothan, Al; Holden Whitaker of Jakin, GA and Sidney Whitaker of Dothan,AL and three sisters,Marilyn Anderson of Bainbridge, GA; Debra Whitaker of Jakin, GA and Gloria Miller of Dothan, AL. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Enzo Whitaker, Ryan Eldridge, Matthew Whitaker, Dawn Whitaker, Daniel Whitaker, Robbie and Hunter Wolfe; as well as a great grandson, James Whitaker. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Whitaker and two sons, Dwayne Whitaker and Ronnie Whitaker.
