We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Kay Searan Smith, age 58, who passed away August 7, 2012 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Oakview Church of God with Rev. Mylan Brookins and Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Oakview Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 10, 2012 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was born in Tulsa, OK on November 23, 1953 to the late Bert Bernard and Jeanettia Renfrow Searan. She was a member of Oakview Church of God and Prime Timers. She was a caregiver and beautician at Miller County Nursing Home, Seminole Manor and Great Grans. She is survived her husband, Randall Smith, two sons, Jonathan Smith and Daniel Smith, mother-in-law, Mary Alice Smith all of Donalsonville, GA; two brothers, Scotty and his wife Kathy Searan of Climax, GA and Amos Searan of Donalsonville, GA; brother-in-law, Tim Smith and his wife Joan of Dothan, AL. She is also survived by one niece and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert Bernard and Jeanettia Renfrow Searan. Casketbearers will be Don Searan, Jared Gordon, Ray Searan, Gene Drake, Jimmy Drake,Seth McArdle, Bobby Smith, and Lamont Smith. Flowers accepted are contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
