EDDIE NEWBERRY

June 24, 1925 — July 13, 2012

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Eddie Easom Newberry, age 87, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday evening, July 13, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Ronny Spillers officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family will also be receiving friends at her residence (1104 Marianna Hwy Donalsonville, GA 39845) anytime Sunday, July 15, 2012. Mrs.Newberry was born in Jakin, GA on June 24, 1925 to the late Tom Watson Easom and Nezzie O’Hearn Easom. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Donalsonville and was very involved in many church groups and activities. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center, the Jubilees, and the Women of Grace. She was very active for many years in the American Cancer Society, especially working with the Love Lights a Tree program. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Ted Newberry and his wife Becky of Donalsonville, GA; her daughter, Debbie O'Hearn and her husband Dennis of Donalsonville, GA; her grandchildren, Gena Miller and her husband Bud, Chason Newberry and his wife Gina, Chad Newberry and his wife Kelly, Neil Moulton and his wife Elizabeth, Brooke Foley and her husband Brad, Haley O'Hearn, and Marci Harrison and her husband Jarrod; as well as her great grandchildren, Eddie Parker Miller, Christina Miller, Riley Newberry, Kaydon Newberry, Carol Ann Moulton, Chandler Harrison, and Madalynn Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Watson Easom and Nezzie O'Hearn Easom; her husband, Benjamin Hoyt Newberry; her brother, Herman Easom; her son, Gerald Newberry; and her great granddaughter, Hannah Grace Harrison. Active casketbearers will be Chad Newberry, Neil Moulton, Chason Newberry, Bud Miller, Coati Courts, and Parker Miller. Honorary casketbearers will be “The Girls”.
