We regret to announce the passing of Leslie Ann Rykard Clayton, age 57, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday, May 30, 2005 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. John Vanstone and Rev. Mac McVey officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 2, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Clayton was born in Lowndes County, GA on May 25, 1948 to Virginia Rykard of Hahira, GA. and the late Carl A. Rykard. She was a 1966 graduate of Valdosta High School, and received a BS degree in Math Education from Valdosta State University in 1970. She married Hugh King Clayton on June 7, 1970. She moved to this area 35 years ago and taught for 28 years in the Seminole County School System. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband King Clayton of Donalsonville, GA; three daughters Stacy Frith and her husband Alan of Donalsonville, GA; Amy Walsh and her husband Charlie of Burlington, Iowa; Stephanie Spooner and her husband Brad of Jakin, GA; her mother Virginia Rykard of Hahira, GA; two brothers Ronnie Rykard of Hahira, GA and Roger Rykard and his wife Wanda of Iron City, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Madison Frith, Clayton Walsh, Catherine Walsh, Charles Walsh, Savannah Spooner, Dalton Spooner and Belle Spooner. Pallbearers will be Royce Cannington, Dale Short, Nicholas Short, Haywood Lynn, Larry Townsend and Mac Harrison.
