WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF MRS. ALLIE JOHNSON, AGE 76, OF DOTHAN, AL AND FORMERLY OF DONALSONVILLE, GA. MRS. JOHNSON PASSED AWAY SATURDAY MORNING, JUNE 16, 2012 AT SOUTHEAST ALABAMA MEDICAL CENTER IN DOTHAN, AL. GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2012 AT 3:00 PM AT SPRING CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY IN DONALSONVILLE, GA WITH INTERMENT TO FOLLOW. VISITATION WILL ALSO BE HELD AT THE CEMETERY ON MONDAY, FROM 2:30 TO 3:00, IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE SERVICE. MRS. JOHNSON WAS BORN JUNE 28, 1935 TO THE NOW LATE CRAWFORD AND ERA WHITE ALDAY IN SEMINOLE COUNTY, GA. SHE RETIRED FROM THE STATE OF GEORGIA HAVING WORKED WITH THE PARK SYSTEM, NAMELY SEMINOLE STATE PARK. SHE AND HER HUSBAND, COTTON JOHNSON, WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN THE BUILDING OF LAKE SEMINOLE AND SEMINOLE STATE PARK. MRS. JOHNSON WAS A PAST MEMBER OF THE LAKE SEMINOLE LIONS CLUB AND THE SPRING CREEK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT. SHE WAS ALSO AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF SPRING CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH AS LONG AS HER HEALTH ALLOWED. MRS. JOHNSON LOVED TO QUILT AND SPEND TIME WITH HER FAMILY. MRS. JOHNSON LEAVES TO CHERISH HER MEMORY HER DAUGHTER, SUSAN JOHNSON AND GARY OF DOTHAN, AL; THREE BROTHERS, LARRY ALDAY AND JEAN OF DONALSONVILLE, GA, MELVIN ALDAY AND JACKIE OF DONALSONVILLE, GA, AND J.C. ALDAY OF MONTICELLO, FL; A SISTER-IN-LAW, MERLE ALDAY OF ETON, GA; AND A SPECIAL FRIEND, BILL LANE. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HER GRANDDAUGHTER, BROOK MULLIS AND ROBBIE OF DONALSONVILLE, GA, AND HER GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, CHIP EARNEST AND KENDALL MULLIS. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, CRAWFORD AND ERA WHITE ALDAY; HER HUSBAND, EMMETTE CARLTON "COTTON" JOHNSON; AND TWO BROTHERS, MARVETTE ALDAY AND BENNY ALDAY.
