EUGENE MCLENDON

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Eugene McLendon, age 79, of Bainbridge, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, who passed away Friday, May 27, 2005 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. McLendon will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2005 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, May 28, 2005 from 7:00 -9:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the New Salem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County. Mr. McLendon was born on August 4, 1925 in Miller County, GA to the late George Allen and Lou Gilbert McLendon. He worked as a brick mason for 38 years. Mr. McLendon leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Danny McLendon and his wife Sandra of Brinson, GA; one brother, Joe Tom McLendon and his wife Luverne of Colquitt, GA; one sister, Collie Mae Nix of Colquitt, GA; two grandchildren, Stephanie Atkinson and her husband Brian of Pelham, AL and Jeremy McLendon of Brinson, GA; a special friend, Adene Pope of Bainbridge, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
