Travis L. Smith

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Travis Smith, age 61, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Saturday afternoon, Sept. 15, 2007 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Enfinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, Sept. 16, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. He worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation from which he retired in 1996. Mr. Smith leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Evelyn Smith of Donalsonville, GA; two brothers, Ray Smith and his wife Diane of Auburn, GA and James Hayward Smith and his wife Lorna of Jesup, GA; a sister, Mary Odom of Donalsonville, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Green and Ammie Elkins Smith; two brothers, Bernice Smith and Samuel Smith; and two sisters, Joyce Skiles and Jean Mathis. Pallbearers will be Donnie Alday, Randy Herrin, Jerry McLendon, Stanley Enfinger, Steve "Puppy" Odom, and Ricky Smith. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
