Franklin Bartow Faircloth, Jr.

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Franklin Bartow Faircloth, age 78, of Brinson, GA. who passed away on April 10 2012 at his residence. Funeral services were at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Faircloth was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 1, 1934 to the late Franklin Bartow, Sr. and Eva Lucinda Odom Faircloth. A member of Brinson Baptist Church, a great storyteller, loved to fish, but did not like snakes. He was on the Brinson City Council for over 40 years and also a member of Salem Masonic Lodge 267. He is survived by his wife, Rae Faircloth of Brinson, GA; sons, Frank Faircloth of Tallahassee, FL; Randy Faircloth and his wife Cindy of Brinson, GA; daughters, Debbie Harrell and her husband Larry of Brinson, GA; Gale Weede and her friend Ron Kwiatkowski of Careyville, FL; brother, Marshall Faircloth (Patti) of Tallahassee, FL; sisters, Sue Preston of Milton, FL, Kathryn Smith of Donalsonville, GA, Etta Merle Tucker of Pensacola, FL; Charlotte Phillips (Boyd) of Donalsonville, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren, Renee Comerford (Mitchell) of Brinson, GA; Michael Shay Miller (Lori) of Donalsonville, GA; Rachel Obeidin (Kinan) of Atlanta, GA; Rebecca Lynn Faircloth of Honolulu, HI; great grandchildren, Edward Comerford, Coleman Miller, Julie Miller, Jessica Brock and Mason Hale. Casketbearers will be Michael Shay Miller, Edward Comerford, Mitchell Comerford, Kinan Obeidin, Stanley Harrell and Donnell Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Bartow, Sr. and Eva Lucinda Odom Faircloth; brothers, Calvin Faircloth, Donnell Faircloth and Hayden Faircloth; sisters, Gwen Hunt Heller, Monica Smith, Sabra Ann Childress, and Judy Wood.
