BERTA LOU LEE

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Berta Lou Smith Lee, age 80, of Jakin, GA who passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 10, 2007 at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Lee will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church in Jakin, GA with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lee was born in Early County on Dec. 10, 1926 to the late James and Docia Pyle Smith. She was an excellent homemaker and a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 61 years, Mr. Jessie Lee of Jakin, GA; two sons, Wayne Lee and his wife Suzanne of St. Augustine, FL and Roger Boyce Lee and his wife Carol of Jacksonville Beach, FL; one daughter, Cindy Morgan and her husband Dewain of Blakely, GA ; one sister, Leila Perry and her husband William of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Don Hand, Tommy Tyler, Hunter Evans, Julian Houston, Ronnie Welch, Johnny McMullen, Rusty Bradley, and Jerry Houston. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
