We regret to announce the passing of Mr. David Lamar Hill, age 65, of Donalsonville, GA. who passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County, GA. Mr. Hill was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 5, 1947 to late Arthur James and Minnie Lee Rachel Hill. He served his country in the US Marines during Vietnam. He worked as a truck driver for Hill Trucking. He is survived by one son, Shaun Hill and his wife Andrea of Albany, GA; one brother, Melvin LaDon Hill of Thomasville, GA; three sisters, Betty Jo Hill Salley of Springfield, SC; Dot Hill McQuaig of Donalsonville, GA and Carolyn Hill Rentz of Newton, GA. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Caitlin Gwen Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur James and Minnie Lee Rachel Hill; one brother, James Mitchell Hill and one sister, Annie Lee Barnes. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
