We regret to announce the passing of Jerry Thomas Brown, age 63, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012 at his residence Funeral services for will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow at the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. He was born in Banks, AL on August 15, 1948 to the Ellie Franklin Brown and Vera Sanders Brown. He was drafted in 1969 by the United States Army where he served time in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1977; he worked with Windstream Telephone Company as a cable splicer. He enjoyed woodworking, and sports. He was an active member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where he had a lot of pride being the sound tech. He is survived by one son Clay Brown; two daughters, Shannon Adams and her husband John, and Tiffany Bradley all of Donalsonville, GA; his brother, Thomas Brown and his wife Lisa of Donalsonville, GA; his four sisters, Ruth Rhodes of Donalsonville, GA, Nellie Branton and her husband Bobby of Iron City, GA, Doris Williams and her husband James of Columbus, GA, and Margaret Ray and her husband Glenn of Slocomb, AL; four grandchildren, Darren Brown, Emily Brown, Alyssa Adams, and Cassie Adams. Casketbearers will be Bill Crosby, Cary Horne, Chris Barnard, Greg Barineau, Patrick Creel and John Easom. Honorary casketbearers will be the choir members of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
