We regret to announce the passing of Jo Ann Jordan Strawser, age 69, of Iron City, GA who passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2012 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. A memorial service for Mrs. Strawser will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. She was born in Cairo, GA on January 31, 1942 to the late Johnny Taff and Lula Kate Snipes Jordan. She will be remembered as working as a waitress at Huddle House. She loved her family, animals and was a people person. She is survived by her husband of Leslie Edward Strawser of Iron City, GA; brothers, Benjamin Jordan, Alvin Jordan and Ernest Lee and Erma Jordan all of Cairo, GA; children, Donny and Carol Watkins of Chattahoochee, FL; Rhonda and Buck Alday of Donalsonville, GA; Ronnie and Monica Watkins of Atlanta, GA; Leslie N. Strawser of Iron City, GA; Teresa Diane Rushing of Ft. Wayne, IN, Tim and Rhonda Strawser of London, KY and Mark and Michelle Strawser of Houma, LA; grandchildren; Manadlin Watkins, Casey McCalvin, D.J. Lynn, Cory Watkins and Brandan Watkins,Hannah Barrett, Taylor Rushing, Dustin Strawser, Corey Strawser, Cassie Strawser, Timothy Strawser, Marky Randle, Alisha Leigh, Zach Strawser, Angela Epperson, Alyssa Strawser and Robert Strawser. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Noah Pacherres, Leah McCalvin, Chastity McCalvin and J. J. McCalvin. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
