We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Deborah “Debbie” Johnson McLain, age 60, of Dothan, AL who passed away after a courageous fight with ALS Friday, December 30, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on January 2, 2012, at 3:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Phil Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service January 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church. She was born in Donalsonville, GA on January 4, 1951 to the late Joseph E. and Ruby Stuart Johnson. She graduated from Seminole County High School in 1969 and was employed all her adult life in the medical field at Donalsonville Hospital, BRS, Miller County Hospital and since her move to Dothan seven years ago at Southern Sleep Clinic. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Dothan where she sang in the choir. She participated in special Olympics; she loved horses and the Georgia Bulldogs. She is survived by one son, Lee Rogers; sisters, Vivian Brookins and Mary King and her husband Jim; two stepsons, Steven McLain, and his wife Stephanie and Chris McLain; grandchildren Taylor McLain, Brooks McClain, Madison McClain and several nieces and nephews. Special friend, Wayne Frasier and a host of loving family and friends. Also surviving are the father of her son and his wife Don and Sue Rogers. We would like to thank her faithful caregivers Terry Roberts, Emily Hudson, Clara Wallace and Ala Care Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Johnson and Ruby Stuart Johnson Way; and her husband Webster McLain. Casketbearers will be Mike Stuart. Ray Milliner, Ken Stuart, Vic Stuart, Ralph Stuart, and Dean Brookins.
