MICHAEL DENNIS PHILLIPS

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Michael Dennis Phillips, age 43, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Phillips was born in Donalsonville, GA on February 12, 1968 to Linda and Larry Philllips. He graduated Seminole County High School in 1987 and served his country in the US Air Force. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and Trinity Methodist Men’s and also a member of the Young Farmers. He worked as a welder for Lewis M. Carter Manufacturing in Donasonville, GA. He is survived by his wife Sheila Phillips of Donalsonville, GA, his parents, Linda and Larry Phillips of Iron City, GA, daughters, Kjersten Smith and her husband Chris of Bainbridge, GA; Melodie Lewis and her husband Blaine of Climax, GA; Micailah Phillips of Bainbridge, GA; step-daughter, Erica Stokes of Donalsonville GA; step-son, Blaise Smith of Donalsonville, GA; brother, Shannon Phillips and his wife Amanda of Jakin, GA. A special caregiver Cindy Seago and a very special hospice nurse Karen Rogerson. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Aiden McMillian and Emerson Jayde Lewis as well as a special mother-in-law Pat Temples of Donalsonville, GA. Casketbearers will be Randal Williams, Reggie Barber, Troy Donley, Craig Whittaker, Edwin Ross and Doug Phillips. Honorary casketbearers will be men of Trinty United Methdoist Church. The United States Flag will be presented to the family by the US Air Force. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
