SHIRLEY CASSELS

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Shirley Temple Cassels, age 57, of Blakely, GA who passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with John Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Church Cemetery in Cedar Springs, GA. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, Dec. 9, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the chapel of the funeral home. Mrs. Cassels was born in Hollywood, FL on May 5, 1954 to the late Lloyd Ralph and Lois Christine Akins Cassels. She was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Loretta Cowart and her husband Matthew Cowart of Blakely, GA; two brothers, Ralph Lloyd Cassels and his wife Rachel of Hollywood, FL and Charles Henry Cassels and his wife Susan of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two sisters, Mary Edna Gray of Gadsden, AL and Dixie Mae Marshall of Sebring,FL; and a sister-in-law, Karen Cassels of Cresent City, FL. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Marcus Anthony Lane and his fiance Amberly Sherman of Ashford, AL and Harley Lloyd Stone Lane of Blakely, GA. Many nieces and nephews, as well as one very special niece, Dianna Marie O'Bier Murphy, also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Ralph Cassels and Lois Christine Cassels; four brothers Albert David Cassels, John Douglas O'Bier,Troy Wayne O'Bier, and Cebron Edward O'Bier. She is also preceded in death by many nieces and nephews. Active casketbearers will be Mark Cowart, Allen Sasanet, Rebecca Magnum, Adam Wilkerson, Marcus Howerton, and Harley Lane.
