We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Beulah Cross Frasier Baker (affectionately known as “Boot”), age 87, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away September 8, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Ronnie Shiver and Rev. Charles Barineau officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Baker was born in Iron City, GA on January 17, 1924 to the late Jiley Mac Cross, Sr. and Lela Pearl Brocket Cross. She will be remembered as helping her first husband Dick Frasier run a bait and tackle county store on Highway 39; after he passed she continued operating the country farm and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yards. She is survived by two sons, Carlton Frasier and his wife Clara of Farmers Branch, TX and Wayne Frasier of Moultrie, GA; two daughters, Carolyn Hannah and her husband Richard of Graniteville, SC and Deborah Frasier Lashley and her husband Gene of Donalsonville ,GA; one brother, J.E. Cross of Destin, FL; four sisters, Jesse “Sis” Ingram of Columbus, GA, Earnestine Brazelton of Santa Ana, CA, Margie Covington of Miami, FL and Betrice Widner of Colquitt, GA. She is also survived by three grandchildren Richelle Jenkins, Melissa Chase, and Kippani Frasier; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jiley Mack Cross, Sr. and Lela Pearl Brockett Cross; the father of her children, Talmadge Dick Frasier; her second husband, James Baker; three brothers, Ralph Cross, Mack Cross, and Bazel Cross; and two sisters, Louise Jenkisson and Clara Wiggins. Casketbearers will be Billy (Buddy) Cross, Oliver Widner, Craig Barnes, Joe Burke, Zachary Faircloth and Robin Cross.
