October 13, 1926 — June 22, 2007

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mabel King, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday evening, June 22, 2007 at Great Grans Personal Care Home. Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held on Sunday afternoon, June 24, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville with Rev. Kirk Loyless and Rev. Benjamin Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Friendship United Methodist Church. Mrs. King was born in Miller Co., GA on October 13, 1926 to the late Robert and Mary Susan Sheffield Daniels. She worked for many years as a loan officer with First Federal Savings and Loan. She was married to Wayne King who preceded her in death in 2002. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church where she had been a member of the Chancel Choir. She had also been a member of the Bridge Club and served as a Den mother for the Boy Scouts. Mrs. King leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Danny and his wife Carol King of Mt. Holly, NC and Pat and his wife Evy King of Donalsonville, GA; a daughter, Beth K. Watson of Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren, Patrick King, Thea K. Friesenhahn, and Robin King; two great grandchildren, Christiana Friesenhahn and Harrison Muller; and a sister, Wynelle D. Hayes and her husband John C. Hayes, Jr. of Dothan, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Susan Sheffield Daniels; her husband, Wayne King; two sisters, Ruby D. Miller and Gloria D. Miller; and a brother, J.I. Daniels. Pallbearers will be Ricky King, Randy King, Butch Miller, Fred Tedder, Skylar King, Tyler Cox, and Louis Bonner. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
