JAMES OTIS STEWART

We regret to announce the passing of James Otis Stewart, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away on Friday, June 22, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mr. Stewart will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Oakview Church of God in Donalsonville with the Rev. Milton Pate officaiting. Burial will follow in the Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday night, June 24, 2007, from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Stewart was born in Houston County, AL on September 28, 1926 to the late Ellis Leroy, Sr. and Cora Lee Bullock Stewart. He served his country in the US Army, worked as an aircraft mechanic and also with the Donalsonville Police Department. He was an avid fisherman, a member of Oakview Church of God, Oakview Prime Timers, the Sanctuary Sunday School Class, Oakview Mens' Fellowship and a member of the American Legion. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Dora Horn Stewart of Donalsonville, GA, two sons, Bill Stewart and wife Judy of Newnan, GA, Royce Stewart and wife Sheila of Donalsonville, two daughters, Shirley Easom and husband Troy of Donalsonville, Jackie Johnson and her fiancé Eddie Gough of Panama City, FL. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Benny Stewart and his wife Faye, a daughter Judy Rathel, a grandson, Ronnie Stewart, four brothers, Ellis Stewart, Odell Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Earl Stewart and a sister Mildred Stewart. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home of Donalsonville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
