We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Tina Cannon Davis, age 69, of Jakin, GA who passed away August 3, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Jakin Free Will Baptist Church in Jakin, GA with Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Early County. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at Jakin Free Will Baptist Church in Jakin GA. Mrs. Davis was born in Jakin, GA on November 3, 1941 to the late Gaston and Ethel McKellar Cannon. She was a member of the Jakin Free Will Baptist Church where she was the church pianist and was a retired school teacher. She is survived by son, Jeffrey Davis and his wife Rina of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Teresa Davis and Amy of Dayton, KY; brother, Gaston Cannon, Jr. and his wife Deane of Summerville, GA; sisters, Geri Chambers and her husband Bill and Mary Sutton both of Chickamauga, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Ethel McKellar Cannon; her husband, Robert E. Davis and her best friend, Betty Adams. Casketbearers will be Mike Adams, Brandon Adams, Tommy Wiley, Gaston Cannon, III, Josh Tabb and Mike Gilligan. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
