Evans-Skipper Funeral Home We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Joye Faircloth McLaughlin, of Donalsonville, GA, age 77, who passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Charles Dennis officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. She was born in Blakely, GA on August 18, 1933 to the late James Arthur and Ada Harlow Faircloth. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and will be remembered as working at the Donalsonville Hospital. She was a “people person” enjoyed reading, working in yards and baking. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. She is survived by four sons, Jon and Donna Moye; Joe and Mitzy Moye, Carey and Jane Moye all of Donalsonville, GA; Jeffery and Tammy Harris of Ft. Gaines, GA; daughter, Lisa McLaughlin of Donalsonville, GA; brother, Hardy and Marilyn Horne of Iron City, GA; sister, Eloyce and Lamar Goocher of Donalsonville, GA. Grandchildren Kristy and Hugh Griffin, Brandy and Ben Spooner, Blair and Chris Thompson, Layne and Dusty Smith, Kacie and Robert Ogletree, Ashley Moye, Kyla Moye, Deanna Baker, Wayne Harden and Joseph Harden. Great grandchildren, Tyler Griffin, Anna Griffin, Ben Spooner, Jr., Eva Spooner, Emma Spooner, Sydney Spooner, Landon Thompson, Sutton Smith, Summer Smith, Trace Ogletree, Shelby Joye Ogletree and Khloe Moye. She was preceded in death her parents, James Arthur and Ada Harlow Faircloth; sister, Virginia Grubbs; brother, Ralph Horne and her beloved dog Pepper. Casketbearers will be Jim Higginbotham, Jimbo Grow, Stephen Moss, E.C. Bridges, Ronnie Miller and Foster Wurst. Honorary casketbearers will be employees of Donalsonville Hospital. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
