VENSON HENRY WILSON

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Venson Henry Wilson, age 86, of Malone, FL who passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at the North Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 27, 2011 at 10:00 (CST) at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Marianna, FL with Rev. Jackie Register officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 (CST) at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. He was born in Elba, AL on October 25, 1924 to the late Vann and Ella Pearl Boutwell Wilson. He was of the Baptist faith. He served his country during World War II and was stationed on the Lady Lexington. He retired as Human Resources Director from Sunland Training Center in Marianna, FL and was also an avid fisherman. He is survived by one daughter, Shelia Crosby and her husband Bill of Donalsonville, GA; one grandson, Billy Crosby of Atlanta, GA and well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Ella Pearl Boutwell Wilson; his wife, Ruby Smith Wilson and son, Steve Wilson. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
