EUGENE CARROLL

We regret to announce the passing of Eugene Carroll, age 69, of Iron City, GA who passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Carroll will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2007, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Zack Worsham and Rev. Roy Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Grove/Rock Pond Cemetery in Iron City, GA. with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Carroll was born in Seminole County on August 21, 1937 to Hansel E. and Annie Cox Carroll. He retired from the US Air Force and was a farmer. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Hansel E. and Annie Cox Carroll of Iron City GA, three sons, Jeffery E. Carroll and his wife Lisa of Newnan, GA, Russel M. Carroll and his wife Kristina of Destin, FL, and Paul G. Armstrong and his wife Dawn of Riverview, FL; one daughter, Connie Blackwell and her husband Steve of Naples, FL; two brothers, Rev. Roy Carroll and his wife Brenda of Sylvester, GA and Doyle Carroll and his wife Desiree of Iron City, GA; as well as one sister, Annette Kirkland and her husband Charles of Quincy, FL. He is also survived by a loving companion, Emily Mathews of Iron City, GA and her children, Dale Mathews, Darlene Morris and her husband Jim, and Debra Wynn and her husband Mack and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve M. Carroll; and a son, Eric J. Carroll. The Air Force Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
