We regret to announce the passing of Myrtle Joiner Drake, age 74, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday, May 14, 2007 at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God Cemetery in Donalsonville with Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 15, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville. Mrs. Drake was born in Seminole County on May 5, 1933 to the late Joseph F. and Daisy Velma Hartzog Joiner. She was a homemaker and had worked in the food industry. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Rudolph Drake, one son, William R. Drake, Jr. both of Donalsonville, GA; two daughters, Gail Grow and her husband Ernie of Colquitt, GA, Denise Childree of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, Thomas Joiner and his wife Gwen of Iron City, GA; two sisters, Lorene Simpson of Jonesboro, GA and Patricia Temples and her husband Wesley of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Greene and Betty Shedd and a grandson, Justin Calhoun.
