NETTIE GRACE ROSS ROBERTS

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Nettie Grace Ross Roberts, age 87, of Colquitt, GA who passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Miller County Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Roberts will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Gerald Ross, Dr. Ken Ross, and Pastor Windell Widner officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, April 25, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs.Roberts was born in Houston County, AL on February 15, 1924 to the late George Lee and Cora Helms Ross. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bartow, FL and was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Dr. Johnny Roberts and his wife Faye of Donalsonville, GA and Robert Durwood Roberts, Jr. of Dawson, GA; two daughters, Linda Widner and her husband W.L. of Dawson, GA and Sue Butler of Dawson, GA; one brother, Terry Ross and his wife Carolyn of Auburndale, FL;and two sisters, Ilene Music of Bartow, FL and Mildred Floyd of Blakely, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ricky Roberts, Damon Roberts, Stanley Roberts, Windell Widner, Todd Widner, Chris Butler, and Nicole Palmer; and eleven great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lee and Cora Helms Ross; her husband, Robert Durwood Roberts, Sr.; 5 brothers, Alto Ross, Roscoe Ross, Chester Ross, Lester Ross,and Albert Ross; 3 sisters, Ruth Deese, Sara Davis, and Ovida Ross; and a son-in-law, Devon Butler. Active pallbearers will be the grandsons, Ricky Roberts, Damon Roberts, Stanley Roberts, Windell Widner, Todd Widner, and Chris Butler. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice 432 E. Shotwell St. Bainbridge, GA 39817.
