MAMIE DELL CANNON BRIDGES

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mamie Dell Cannon Bridges, age 90, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away March 27, 2011 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Bridges will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. James Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2011, at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Mrs. Bridges was born in Early County, GA on September 20, 1920 to the late John Arthur and Susie Viola Mock Cannon. She was a homemaker and an original Charter Member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Carlton Bridges and his wife Linda of Donalsonville, GA; a sister, Dorothy Willis of Blakely, GA; grandchildren, Sloan Bridges of Donalsonville, GA, Gant Bridges and his wife Jackie of Donalsonville, GA, and Garrett Bridges and his wife Brandi of Donalsonville, GA; great-grandchildren, Cutler and Carrigan Bridges, Jordan and Reese Bridges; nephew, Dr. James Rogers and his wife Nancy of Cookeville, TN; nieces, Carolyn White and her husband Larry of Blakely, GA and Marilyn Ash and her husband Chuck of Troy, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Arthur Cannon and Susie Viola Mock Cannon; husband, Sylvester Carmo “Sap” Bridges; daughter, Bobbie Ann Bridges; son, Johnny Bridges; infant brother and infant sister. Active casketbearers will be Mark Hawkins, Kenneth Massey, Carlton Skipper, Chuck Ash, Larry White, and Tim Raffield. Honorary casketbearers will be Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
