We regret to announce the passing of Mr. William Edger Sims, age 60, of Colquitt, GA who passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his home, in Colquitt, GA. A memorial service for Mr. Sims will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Laddie DeRocco officiating. Mr. Sims was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 12, 1950, to the late Carl Edger Sims and Annie Louise King Sims. He was self employed as a mechanic. He leaves to cherish his memory his long time companion, Charlotte Muth of Colquitt, GA; two sons, Willie Earl Sims and his wife Candy of Iron City, GA; Phillip Lee Sims and his fiancée Anne Marie of Ponte Gorde, FL; two daughters, Loria Heidnreich and her husband Kenneth of Donalsonville, GA; Cathy Ezell and her husband Jay of Ponte Gorde, FL; two brothers, Tommy Hudson and his wife Betty of Donalsonville, GA; Carlos Sims of Arcadia, FL; three sisters, Patricia Ward and her husband Wade of Gordon, AL; Elsie Maddox and her husband Robert of Ashford, AL; Brenda Farley and her husband Tim of Archdia, FL; twelve grandchildren, Terry Sims, Katharina Sims, Brianna Messer, Katelynn Sims, Lacy Sims, Travis Sims, Maria Louisa Gaitan, Veronica Gaitan, Ericka Gaitan, Santos Gaitan, Ashley Ezell, and Aaron Sims; and two great-grandchildren, Terrance Sims and Michael Sims. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Edger Sims and Annie Louise King Sims; four brothers, Larry Sims, Gerald Sims, Prince Sims, and Earl Sims; and a grandson, Walker Sims. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
