WILLIE C. "BILL" SMITH

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Willie C. “Bill” Smith, age 81, of Bainbridge and formerly of Donalsonville, GA, who passed away Monday Evening, March 14, 2011 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Graveside Services will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Olive Grove/Rock Pond Cemetery with Rev. Laddie Derocco and Rev. Ken Baggett officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 20ll from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans- Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Smith was born in Appling County, GA on October 23, 1929 to the late Gilbert Brown and Arilla Leggett Smith. He was a member of Salem Seminole Baptist Church and worked as an electrician in the utility service. He is survived by four daughters, Ginny Loman and her husband Jeff; Peggy Joan Gilliland and her husband Ben; Katherine Julie Smith and her husband Mack; Dinah Charlotte Hoover and her husband Dan. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Hampton M. Smith and Adam Loman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Brown and Arilla Leggett Smith; and his wife Willa Pearl Adams Smith. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
