We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Morgan Wilson "Doc" Hardwick, age 91, who passed away on April 27, 2007 at his residence in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services for Mr. Hardwick will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Hardwick and Rev. Jim Hardwick officiating. A graveside service and burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman, GA on Monday afternoon, April 30th at 3:30. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home on Sunday, April 29, 2007. Mr. Hardwick was born on July 21, 1915 in Horry County, SC to the late Ellis Hampton and Lena Lewis Hardwick. He operated a taxi cab service in Moultrie, GA and also farmed for a number of years. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and was married to Lucille Hardwick who preceded him in death in February of this year. Mr. Hardwick leaves to cherish his memory a son, Rev. Ellis Hardwick ahd his wife Marilee of Donalsonville, GA; a daughter, Virginia Herring and her husband Jack of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, Rudolph C. Hardwick and his wife Marge of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Melissa and Mike Korzekwa, Clay and Janet Barber, Melinda and Bill Wynn, Sharon Barkley, Dee Barber and her fiance Todd Holland, Melitta Seltzer, Dr. Davey and Brenda Herring, and Jon Herring and his fiancee Johnnie Beck; 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille Hardwick, five brothers, Hanson Hardwick, Cabot Hardwick, Newton Hardwick, Leonard Hardwick, and Rupert "Slim" Hardwick and one sister, Alice Walker. Pallbearers will be Harry Hardwick, Britt Wynn, Bailey Wynn, Ross Lawrence, Bill Hughes, Odell Hardwick, Cab Hardwick.
