THELMA WORTHINGTON SMITH

December 26, 1926 — April 23, 2007

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Thelma W. Smith, age 80, of Bainbridge, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, GA who passed away on Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Bainbridge Health Care in Bainbridge, GA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 2:00 PM at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Harrison, Rev. Kevin Davis and Rev. Curtis Earnest officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, April 24, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was born in Miller County on December 26, 1926 to the late John B. and Bessie Faircloth Worthington. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem-Seminole Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Jimmy L. Smith and his wife Joan and Milton Smith and his wife Julia all of Donalsonville, GA; two daughters, Laverne Gay and her husband Tommy of Bainbridge, GA and Linda Hatton and her husband Glenn of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, J. B. Worthington of Tampa, FL and one sister, Mary Ellen Lisenby of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Pallbearers will be Kyle Odom, Robbie Odom, Jamie Smith, Brian Smith, Johnny Lisenby and Danny Revells. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Building Fund, 2785 Joel Poole Road, Donalsonville, GA 39845. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
