ROBERT LEE "BOB" HALL

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Robert Lee “Bob” Hall, age 64, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Hall will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Kirk Loyless and Rev. David Tart officiating. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, GA at 4:30 PM with Rev. Claire Davis officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 1, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Hall was born in Cairo, GA on July 5, 1946 to the late Alton and Edna Sutton Hall. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and had served his country in the United States Army. He had worked in logging, construction work, and with heavy equipment. The work that he was most compassionate about was farming. He loved his dogs, especially the late Mopsy, who like Bob, was everybody’s friend. Mr. Hall loved being able to take care of others. He was always doing things for people without expecting any recognition. He was truly one of Donalsonville’s unsung heroes. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rose Dutton Hall of Donalsonville, GA; one son, Michael Shannon Hall and his wife Sharon of Athens, GA;a daughter, Amanda Marie Hall and partner, Richard Miller of Valdosta, GA; two step-sons, Robert Marion Cohen,III and his wife Rebecca of Bainbridge, GA and Roland Eric Cohen and his wife Mollie of Whigham, GA; four brothers, Ronnie A. Hall and his wife Jancie of Colquitt, GA, Joe Hall of Donalsonville, GA, Ed Hall and his wife Pat of Milledgeville, GA, and Jack Hall and his wife Carol of Cairo, GA; a sister, Mary Skinner and her husband Charlie of Cairo, GA; and four grandchildren, Myra Kathryn Cohen, Robert Hayden Cohen, Bradley Wyn Cohen, and Elizabeth Bryce Cohen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Edna Sutton Hall. Active casketbearers will be Kenneth Hall, David Hall, Al Hall, Jim Hall, Tony Everson, and Richard Hall.
