Ellen Parker Cummings

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Ellen Parker Cummings, age 78, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Marietta Health and Rehab in Marietta, GA. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in with Rev. Willie Byron Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Cummings was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 4, 1933, to the late Isaac and Nancy Sirmons Parker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Williams and her husband Gary of Smyrna, GA; Ann Cole and her husband Bill of California, MD; two grandchildren, Vince Jernigan and his wife Emily of Dothan, AL; Cary Williams of Canton, GA; two great grandchildren, Parker Jernigan and Thomas Jernigan and one brother, Elton Parker and his wife, Helen of Charlotte, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Nancy Sirmons Parker; her husband, John J. Cummings; two sisters, Julia Parker and Norma Jean Miller. Casketbearers will be Steve Jernigan, Douglas Barber, Ronnie Powell, Paul Parker, William Arden Parker and Bobby Sinquefield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.
