We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Betty Jo Cannon Adams, age 78, of Jakin, GA who passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held Monday,January 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Jakin, GA. Visitation will be held from 7:00- 9:00 PM on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Adams was born in Jakin, GA on April 12, 1932 to the late Arthur V and Arrie Hilson Cannon. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Michael L. Adams and his wife Diane of Donalsonville, GA; one daughter, Cynthia Ingram and her husband Wade of Dothan, AL; two grandsons, Kyle Adams and Brandon Adams as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur V and Arrie Hilson Cannon; and her husband, Royle Reginald Adams;brothers, Herman Cannon, Alfonso Cannon, and Gaston Cannon and a sister, Josephine Burn. Active casketbearers will be Jake Cannon, Gaston Cannon, Jr., Kent Adams, Jimmy Davis, Ronnie Ingram and Alan Ingram. Evans-Skipper Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.
