We regret to announce the passing of Sarah Evelyn Shoemaker Crosby, age 96, of Graceville, FL who passed away January 12, 2011 at Signature Heathcare of North Florida in Graceville, FL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM CST at First Baptist Church in Malone, FL with Rev. Jackie Register officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Gordon, AL. Visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM CST at First Baptist Church in Malone, FL. Mrs. Crosby was born in Gordon, Al on July 6, 1914 to the late William Benjamin and Bessie Conrad Shoemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Malone, FL and was a homemaker. She is survived by five sons, Jackie Crosby and his wife Betty of Gainesville, FL; Billy Crosby and his wife Shelia of Donalsonville, GA; Buddy Crosby and his wife Jennifer of Gordon, AL; Gene Crosby and his wife Debra of Ashford, AL; David Crosby and his wife Debbie of Plant City, FL; two daughters, Faye Roberts and her husband Dr. Johnny of Donalsonville, GA; Brenda Wilson of her husband Don of Malone, FL; sister-in-laws, Estelle Parrish of Auburndale, FL; Lois Scott of Orlando, FL and Bernice Conrad of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents William Benjamin and Bessie Conrad Shoemaker; her husband Arthur Leroy Crosby, Sr; two brothers, Willie Shoemaker and Russell Shoemaker. Casketbearers will be her sons, Jackie Crosby, Billy Crosby, Buddy Crosby, Gene Crosby and David Crosby Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
