Nancy Atkinson Jones

We regret to announce the passing of Nancy Atkinson Jones, age 94, of Donalsonville, GA who passed January 11, 2011 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones was born in Brinson, GA on October 24, 1926 to the late Walter Atkinson and Emma Kate Free Atkinson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA and was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons, Charles Jones and his wife Sandra of Donalsonville, GA; Bill Jones and his wife Dorothy of Prattville, AL; Ralph Jones and his wife Virginia of Iron City, GA; one daughter, Debra Kraft of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, Luther Atkinson of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Pam Miller of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Atkinson and Emma Kate Free Atkinson; her husband Andrew Robert Jones and one son, Robert Cleveland Jones. Casketbearers will be her grandsons. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
